Although my main background is in  ART,  It was at Glasgow university when I was studying Maths, Physics and Astronomy that I decided it was Photography I wanted to pursue as a career.

You might think its a strange connection between these subjects, but I used lots of film cameras back then during astronomical experiments, and when I used them I fell in love with everything photographic, I just fell in love with cameras !  Using lots of different types of cameras made me come around full circle to my artistic background, which connected all my painting and drawing skills with the technical ability that photography demanded !

After a while working as a professional landscape and portrait photographer, I moved onto weddings, which Ive been working at full time for the past 23 years. Even at the same venue, every wedding throws up many unique challenges and problems to solve, which I love !  Having worked at over 2300 weddings, and with lots of different cultures, Ive gained an openness to different customs, meeting people from all around the world.
